You touched so many lives in your 90 years.  The life you lead was an example to many people.

I was blessed to have married your grandson 14 years ago, and by having the last marriage ceremony that you officiated, be ours.  You welcomed me and my daughter into your family with loving and open arms.  You even added my daughter to your list of family as your first great-grandchild.

The moments that I got to spend with you, the echo of your laughter when you would tell us a joke, your soft spoken voice when you would tell us you loved us, are now precious memories.

Rest in peace, Grandpa, you will be missed.

"Crossing the Bar"

by Alfred Lloyd Tennyson

Sunset and evening star
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For though from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.

Grandpa "warning" Steven the night before our wedding that he was going to tie that knot so tight, there would be no way out.  Thank you Grandpa!

Grandpa and Dad, told jokes the whole night at our rehearsal dinner.  I know they are telling each other jokes in heaven
